EKOPRODUR 1112B2 is a two-component polyurethane (PUR) system, from which, in the result of foaming, a semi-rigid (soft) foam of self-extinguishing properties is obtained. The foam has a partially open cell structure. Due to its dimensions and performance stability, it is widely used e.g. in the production of moulded insulation solutions such as insulation panels and boards as well as for the production of thermal insulation cladding.
EKOPRODUR 1112B2 system contains component A, which is a polyol mixture (oily liquid of straw to yellow colour), and component B, which is a mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates. The second component is also a liquid, but much darker in colour - brown. It has an outstanding sensitivity to moisture (high hygroscopicity), exposed to which it quickly crystallizes. Both components of the system do not contain suspensions. It is important to remember that component A is prone to slow delamination, so it should be mixed thoroughly before usage. PUR foam obtained by this system is characterised by a density in the finished product, of not less than 20 kg/m
Properly chosen and prolonged reaction times make the system suitable for producing insulation materials both using periodic and continuous method. In terms of processing the system is quite versatile, as it can be processed using both low- and high-pressure foaming machines.
For the processors and users it is important that EKOPRODUR 1112B2 does not contain foaming agents depleting the ozone layer. This is in accordance with European Union rules on trading and use of controlled substances according to Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009. In addition, the product has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions does not adversely affect health and the environment.
Main application advantages of the product:
Possibility of obtaining an insulating material with a low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ), which allows to reduce the thickness of the insulation comparing to other conventional insulating materials and consequently to decrease the use of material;
Production of insulating material based on a semi-rigid polyurethane foam with a wide range of applications;
It may be used to optimize the production of thermal insulation cladding by the possibility of using the system on continuous and periodic production lines;
Production of polyurethane sleeves/cladding (also soft) for insulating pipelines
Production of moulded polyurethane fittings of various shapes and dimensions;
Production of moulded insulation products such as boards and panels based on polyurethane foam;
Production of insulating material having advantageous temperature and dimensional stability.
Mechanical properties of the foam system:
The apparent density of the core (in the product): ≥ 18.5 kg/m 3
Classification of reaction to fire performance: F
Water absorption after 24 hours: 19% v/v
Dimensional stability:
+110°C, 24h: +0.6%
-24°C, 48h: -0.5%
Compressive strength: 190 kPa
Tensile resistance (strength) perpendicular to panel surface: 200 kPa
Self-extinguishing
Thermal conductivity coefficient at 10°C (declared value): 0.039 W/(m·K)
The method used for mixing and pouring the system into the mould should ensure uniform filling. Full mechanical properties of the foam are obtained after conditioning for approx. 24 hours.
good fluidity of the system provides efficient production of insulating materials with uniform density distribution (crucial for the production of polyurethane panels and boards);
production of the insulating material with a wide range of application;
production of heat-insulating material with high flexibility and resilience facilitating the installation process of pipe cladding;
forming a durable insulating material with time-stable parameters;
production of insulation materials with high thermal resistance intended for various industrial sectors, including the food and chemical industries;
production of insulation cladding materials of different thicknesses for pipes of different diameters and lengths;
production of heat-insulating material for pipelines of central heating, hot and cold water, installed e.g. in residential, office and industrial buildings;
