SULFOROKAnol L370 / 1 is an anionic surfactant of the group of alkyl ether sulphates, based on natural alcohol (INCI name: Sodium Laureth Sulphate). The product has the consistency of a liquid paste, colourless to light yellow. The concentrated form of the commercial product, which contains 70% of the active substance, translates into lower storage and transport cost.
The anionic nature of the product affects the synergistic effect with non-ionic, amphoteric or anionic surfactants in the final formulations.
SULFOROKAnol L370 / 1 is characterized by a very low critical micelle concentration (CMC), thanks to which even a small concentration in the formulation ensures its effective operation. The product has good washing, emulsifying and foaming properties, generating high and stable foams. The above-mentioned advantages make the product work well in Personal Care formulas and detergent formulas. The product does not contain preservatives.
The surfactant complies with the biodegradability criteria laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
The above-average foaming, wetting properties and resistance to acidic and alkaline environments make SULFOROKAnol L370/1 an effective component of hard surface cleaners and car chemistry formulations. It is also used in extinguishing agents.
SULFOROKAnol L370 / 1 is also used in the construction industry as a component of air-entraining admixtures for concrete and cement mortars. In this application, the product increases the frost resistance of concrete, while in finished admixtures the product works in synergy with foam stabilizers, humectants or wetting agents. SULFOROKAnol L370 / 1 is used during the manufacturing process of the so-called unstable foams when reducing the weight of plasterboard, due to the air entrainment.
Due to its high detergency properties, the product is used as an ingredient in tanning formulations, mainly for washing and degreasing skins. Thanks to its emulsifying and effective surface tension reduction properties, the product can be used in emulsion polymerization processes, mainly for the production of aqueous polymer dispersions, e.g. acrylic or acetate-vinyl, ensuring appropriate emulsification of the monomers in the reaction mixture.
Surface-active properties of SULFOROKAnol L370 / 1 are also used in formulations dedicated to metalworking.
