ROKAmin SR8 CONCENTRATE is a non-ionic surfactant; INCI name: PEG-8 Hydrogenated Tallow Amine. It belongs to the group of ethoxylated fatty amines with an average degree of ethoxylation of 8 moles. The commercial product contains about 100% of the active substance. ROKAmin SR8 CONCENTRATE is a viscous liquid, yellow to brown. Its solidification point is about 10°C. The product is sparingly soluble in water and passes through a gelling phase during dissolution.
The product exhibits the activity of both a non-ionic and a cationic surfactant, especially in acidic systems. Thanks to the cationic character, the ROKAmin SR8 CONCENTRATE molecule can form a single protective layer on the metal surface. This gives the product anti-corrosive properties, especially in relation to ferrous metals.
ROKAmin SR8 CONCENTRATE is used as an emulsifier and levelling agent in the fibre dyeing process. In the lubricant industry, it is used as a component in the formulation of cooling and lubricating fluids and fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
ROKAmin SR8 CONCENTRATE has good detergency properties, which allows effective removal of long-term soiling. The product works well in acid and alkaline formulations, it is also resistant to hard water. For these reasons, it can be used in the industrial and institutional cleaning as a component of hard surface cleaners, industrial degreasers as well as cleaning agents for metal parts.
