EKOPRODUR DCP2008 is a two-component polyurethane system, used for the production of closed-cell rigid foam with very good insulation properties. The system is used for the insulation of refrigeration devices and for the production of insulation boards and panels in molds. EKOPRODUR DCP2008 system consists of two components. The first one is a polyol mixture (POLY component) in the form of oily liquid. The second component is ISO component, which is a dense mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates. Both components of the system do not contain suspensions.
EKOPRODUR DCP 2008 polyurethane system may be processed with the use of low- and high-pressure foaming machines.
Average foam density in a finished product should be not less than 42 kg/m3 (calculated as a ratio of the system weight in kg to the total volume of the mold in m3). The method of mixing and pouring of the system into the mold should ensure even filling so that density of the fragments of the core cut out of the finished element is not less than 38 kg/m3.
Demolding time depends on the size of the fitting and temperature of the mold.
The foam reaches its full mechanical properties after 24-hour seasoning period.
When processing the system, instructions and information contained in the Data Sheets of both components should be considered.
EKOPRODUR DCP 2008 does not contain foaming agents that deplete the ozone layer, in accordance with the EU provisions on the marketing and use of controlled substances — Regulation (EC) no. 1005/209 of 16 September 2009.
In the polyurethane system EKOPRODUR DCP 2008, hydrofluoro-olefin (HFO) is used as a blowing agent, which is characterized by an ultra low global warming potential and zero ozone depletion potential (GWP = 1; ODP = 0).
Main application advantages of the product:
Possibility of obtaining a material with uniform density distribution thanks to good spreading, allowing for precise filling of a given element;
Possibility of obtaining an element with a “smooth skin” and a uniform structure;
Production of material based on rigid polyurethane foam with a wide range of applications due to high temperature resistance;
Production of durable insulation material the joint of which is resistant to water and moisture.
Mechanical properties of polyurethane foam in the product made using the EKOPRODUR PM2233 system:
Total density of the fitting (from the mold): 42 kg/m3
Apparent density of the core: 36 kg/m3
Stability of dimensions:
+100°C, after 48h: +0.5%
- 30°C, after 48h: -0.3%
High mechanical strength, compression strength: σ10 ≥ 190 kPa
Self-extinguishing properties (reaction to fire classification: F)
Thermal conductivity coefficient at a temperature of 10°C: 0.024 W/(m·K)
The forming time of the EKOPRODUR DCP 2008 foamed system depends on the element size and mold temperature. The foam achieves its full mechanical properties after 24-hour conditioning.
