The Crossin® Attic Soft system is used for the production of semi-rigid foam, which at the same time is a sprayed thermal and acoustic insulation applied directly on the insulated surface of the roof, attic, ceiling, walls, among others in wooden, masonry, steel and skeletal structures of residential, industrial and public buildings, regardless of the building material used.
Crossin® Attic Soft is a two-component spray polyurethane system used for the production of open-cell semi-rigid foam with self-extinguishing properties. The system consists of the polyol part (component A) and the isocyanate part (component B). Each of the ingredients is a viscous liquid and has different parameters. Component A with a higher viscosity is dark, while component B with higher density is brown. Both components are free of solid suspension. In addition, the system is distinguished by the lack of volatile organic compounds (VOC), as it does not contain foaming agents that significantly deplete the ozone layer - in accordance with European Union regulations, Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16.IX.2009.
The service using Crossin® systems is offered only through Authorized Contractors, and the products themselves are not offered for sale to other entities. To take advantage of the free consultation and insulation quote, leave your details via the contact form. Our specialists will propose a convenient date of visit and conversation.
The system is foamed with carbon dioxide (CO2) produced in the reaction of component A and component B. As a result of the combination and thorough mixing of both components, semi-rigid foam (otherwise known as soft) is obtained. It is recommended to process the system only with professional high-pressure foaming units equipped with a foaming head. This product is a unique system designed for the production of thermal insulation with acoustic properties (sound absorption class D), applied inside both residential, commercial, as well as industrial and agricultural buildings. The foamed system is characterised by increased flammability parameters (reaction to fire class: E) and stable and invariable physico-mechanical parameters.
Spraying should be carried out in such a way that the obtained layers are as thick as possible (> 100 mm). Total insulation thickness should not exceed 300 mm and 5 passes in order to obtain it. The appropriate thickness of the insulating layer ensures jointless surface of the roof, attic or ceiling, which significantly improves the energy efficiency of the entire building. Keep in mind that you must not exceed the recommended thickness of the total insulation and that the sprayed foam should not be exposed to direct UV (sunlight) or moisture. In such situations, insulation should be additionally protected, e.g. by painting it with at least two layers of protective paint (in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations), or, if necessary, securing it with suitable waterproofing.
Crossin® Attic Soft was introduced for sale on the basis of the Regulation on construction products CPR No. 305/2011 together with the assessment of performance carried out by the Building Research Institute (ITB) in accordance with the European harmonized standard PN-EN 14315-1. The product has a hygienic certificate PZH, as well as CE marking confirmed by the Declaration of Performance issued for this product.
Main application advantages of the product:
Applicable directly onto the insulated surface made of most commercially available construction materials;
Internal thermal and acoustic insulation with a wide application range (both in modernized and newly erected buildings);
Light insulation gives the possibility to choose an individual insulation thickness without overloading the building structure;
Insulation characterized by low heat transfer coefficient, which allows the thickness of insulating material to be reduced even by half, compared to the classic insulation materials;
Insulation of hard-to-reach places, especially slants and gaps in the case of attic insulation, with full insulation tightness guarantee;
The speed of execution and versatile technique of applying insulation, which give the possibility of making the entire insulation even in one day - the outer layer dries in about 13 seconds;
Thermal and acoustic insulation with good resistance to moisture and wind thanks to Bio Defence Technology additionally protects the insulated building against mould and fungi;

In order for polyurethane insulation to retain all properties over time, it is important to clean the insulated surface before spraying. It is also worth protecting the room and the immediate surroundings from possible dirt.
