Ekopromer REB_02 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive based on MDI mixture with low functionality (2.0 - 2.2). It exists in form of a clear, pale yellow liquid. It is characterized by viscosity of 200-800 mPas at temp. 25°C, with the content of NCO groups between 19.0-21.0%.
Ekopromer REB_02 is dedicated to the manufacture of regenerated foam blocks.
Ekopromer REB_02 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive based on MDI mixture. It is used in the production of rebond foam. Such foam comes from used mattresses. Recovered and cleaned scraps of flexible foam, among others. HR foam scraps of 5-10 mm are sprayed with a suitable polyurethane adhesive and placed in a special mold.
Bonding of the foam scraps takes place under the action of steam. We take out the block from the mold and set it aside for 24 hours in the temperature at least 20°C for seasoning. After a suitable period of time, the regenerated foam block obtains the desired mechanical strength and can be subjected to further mechanical processing. The curing time of the joint depends on the type and amount of adhesive used and the type of foam scraps.
Rebond (re-foamed) foam is a flexible, durable and also economical material. The resulting foam has weaker mechanical properties than original foam and is used for less demanding applications.
Rebond foam is most often used for upholstered furniture, insulation and soundproofing mats, rehabilitation mattresses, gymnastic mats, resilient suspended ceilings in sports halls, sleeping mats in truck cabs, sports pads, inserts for sports and rehabilitation equipment. Rebond foam is also great as a cushioning pad in transporting, for example, glass, and as a carpet pad in households.
Ekopromer REB_02does not contain harmful solvents or plasticizers constituting big hazard included in the (SVHC) candidate list. It allows to obtain foam blocks with very low hardness and high flexibility of the final product.
Mechanical properties of blocks using Ekopromer REB_02 adhesive:
it does not contain plasticizers from the SVHC group,
it does not contain organic solvents,
it allows to obtain foam blocks with standard mechanical requirements.
Application:
universal joint for rebounding,
secondary foam, rebond - used in various industries: in construction - for the production of underlay for panels, carpets, thermal insulation, acoustic insulation in apartments, houses, recording studios. In the automotive industry for soundproofing of cars, floors, door panels, engine compartment baffles, dashboards), thermal insulation. In sports for the manufacture of mattresses, sports mats and flexible floors. In the furniture industry for the production of upholstered inserts (seats, backrests, armrests, headrests), mattresses, specialty cushions). In horticulture for the production of mats for growing plants and as cushioning pads in transportation,
the product is intended only for use in industrial installations or professional activities.
