SIL-PUR 80 is a highly specialized two-component organic-mineral adhesive, which is designed for use in underground mines with and without methane presence. It may be used in areas rated as "a", "b" and "c" in terms of methane explosion risk and the class A and B of coal dust explosion risk, The system is intended for use by injection method. It seals, strengthens and consolidates cracked rock mass with dry, wet and watered loosened rocks and coal seams.
The adhesive is formed by mixing its ingredients in the ratio of 1:1. It consists of a mixture of sodium water glass and additives (component A) and the curing agent containing polymeric methylenediphenyl diisocyanate (component B). Each of the components is a viscous liquid with different physico-chemical parameters that are relevant to the processing. Component A, which is more viscous, has a straw to yellow colour. Component B is brown. In addition, the moisture-sensitive component B induces the polymerization of the adhesive without the need for any other external factor.
SIL-PUR 80 organic-mineral adhesive ensures decreased emissions of VOC (volatile organic compounds), as it does not contain foaming agents that significantly deplete the ozone layer. This is in accordance with European Union rules contained in Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16 September 2009. The product does not contain formaldehyde or phenol, which effectively eliminates the adverse impact on the human body and the environment, but also reduces odour.
SIL-PUR 80 adhesive has a Hygienic Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions does not adversely affect health and the environment. High quality and efficiency of the adhesive has been confirmed by positive assessment issued by LABOREx research laboratory. This resulted in an approval issued by the Mining Authority for use in underground mines, which is confirmed by OBAC certificate of conformity.
SIL-PUR 80 is a product of a wide range of reaction, making it easily adapted to the requirements and conditions of underground operations. SIL-PUR 80 is an organic-mineral adhesive primarily intended for sealing, bonding and strengthening cracked rock surface of rock formations in mining environments. At the same time, it prevents hazardous gas and dusts (e.g. methane and coal dust) to enter the excavation area.
