Chemal CSA-10 is recommended for evaluation in detergent and emulsifying applications.
Chemal CSA-10 is a nonionic surfactant belonging to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols, INCI name: Ceteareth-10. This product is based on a high molecular mass alcohol of cetyl and stearyl alcohol. This chemistry can be used in industrial applications for the preparation of defoamers and textiles and is also frequently used in the personal care market. This product is also extremely effective in emulsifying essential oils which are commonly used in hard surface cleaning for the household, industrial, and institutional cleaning (HI&I) industry.
This 10 mole ethoxylate is a solid which is virtually colorless and 100% active. Chemal CSA-10 has excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties with a wide range of applications, mainly as an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier. This chemistry is also an efficient emulsifier for mineral oils where it produces a highly persistent emulsion due to the high carbon chain length. Chemal CSA-10 is readily compatible with anionic, cationic and nonionic surfactants which are frequently blended to achieve long term stability of systems which contain a high oil content.
PCC Chemax Inc. is specialized in the production of surfactants and chemical specialist additives used, i.a. in the metallurgical, textile, refinery and mining, and plastics industry.
