ROKAnol® D3W is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols (INCI name: Deceth-3). It is a clear liquid with a maximum colour of 50 HU at 20-25°C. It differs from ROKAnol® D3 in its active substance content. The commercial product contains more than 90% of the active substance and solidifies at a temperature of approx. -10°C.
ROKAnol® D3W is poorly soluble in water, in which it forms emulsions. Compared to other products in the ROKAnol® D series, it has a relatively low HLB.
ROKAnol® D3W can be used as an ingredient in cosmetic formulations. ROKAnol® D3 is used in various preparations, most often as a constituent of a composition with other non-ionic, anionic or cationic surfactants. It is used mainly as a component of preparations for hair dyeing and decolourisation, as well as skin care emulsions. In cosmetic formulations, it acts as a washing agent, emulsifier of oil-in-water emulsions (O/W), as well as a thickening agent. ROKAnol® D3W has low foaming properties.
