ROKAnol® UD7 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated synthetic alcohols. INCI Name: Undeceth-7. The product is part of a group of surfactants based on undecylene alcohol (C11). The product is a liquid at room temperature. At a temperature of about 10°C it solidifies, while at 50°C it shows a light color, i.e. up to 50 on the Hazen scale.
The product contains approximately 99% of the active substance and is characterised by a high water solubility. ROKAnol® UD7 has good solubility also in low aliphatic alcohols. Compared to other ROKAnols of this series, the product has a moderate cloud-point at the temperature of 51÷56°C (for butyldiglycol solution). It is characterized by higher foaming capabilities in comparison with ROKAnol® UD5. In addition, ROKAnol® UD7, due to its non-ionic character, is ideal for use with other non-ionic, cationic and anionic surfactants.
ROKAnol® UD7 has excellent wetting and emulsifying properties. Thanks to this, the product will prove itself as a component of all types of cleaning formulas. This includes both household agents and products for industrial and institutional use. In combination with ROKAnols UD3 and UD5 it shows synergy in cleaning performance.
Its excellent wetting properties on cotton make it suitable for bleaching fibres. ROKAnol® UD7 increases the efficiency of this process and additionally improves dye absorption into the textile structure during further processing of textile products. Due to its properties, the product is used in the textile industry as a component of the formulation for bleaching cotton. In addition, it can also be used in the paint and lacquer industry.
