ROKAnol® UD3 belongs to non-ionic surfactants from the ethoxylated synthetic alcohols. The product co-creates a group of surfactants based on undecyl alcohol (C11). At room temperature it has a liquid form. It solidifies at temperatures close to -14°C, at 50°C it has a light colour, i.e. max. 50 HU. The product contains about 100% of the active substance. Due to its limited solubility in water, it forms cloudy solutions in combination with water.
ROKAnol® UD3 has good solubility in low aliphatic alcohols. In comparison with other Rokanol products of this series, the product has a low cloud-point at the temperature of 43÷48°C (for butyldiglycol solution). In addition, ROKAnol ® UD3, due to its non-ionic character, is ideal for use with other non-ionic, cationic and anionic surfactants.
ROKanol® UD3 is characterized by excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties as well as good wetting properties. This makes it ideal as a component of all types of cleaning formulations. These include both household products and products intended for industrial and institutional use. Its good wetting properties on cotton enable ROKAnol® UD3 to be used as a co-substrate in bleaching processes. It significantly improves the efficiency of this process and additionally increases the dye absorbency into the structure of the textile material during the subsequent process, i.e. dyeing. Due to its properties, the product is used in the textile industry as a component of the formulation for bleaching cotton.
