ROKAnol® O20 belongs to the group of non-ionic surfactants of the type of ethoxylated fatty alcohols (INCI name: Oleth-20). At room temperature, the product has a paste consistency and good solubility in water. It contains about 100% of the active substance and has a freezing point of around 30°C.
The product is made using raw materials of natural origin, due to which it is characterized by high susceptibility to biodegradation. It is a substance not classified according to the CLP regulation. The hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value (HLB) of 15.3 indicates its hydrophilic character.
ROKAnol® O20 is characterized by good emulsifying and thickening properties. It enables solubilization of fragrance compositions, plant extracts and oils. It works perfectly as an ingredient in washing and cleaning compositions. The product is an effective emulsifier of natural and synthetic waxes and can be used in car washing and waxing compositions.
Given the very good emulsifying properties, the product can be used in cosmetic emulsions (e.g. hair conditioners, balms) and colouring cosmetics (hair dyes and colouring cosmetics for the face and body). In addition, it can act as a skin softening ingredient.
In industrial applications, the product is an example of an emulsifier that is gentle to the most commonly used construction materials. ROKAnol® O20 is used as an emulsifier in plant protection products, mainly in EC, SC, EW and ME formulations.
