ROKAnol® T10 belongs to non-ionic surfactants from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols, INCI name: Ceteareth-10. The product is based on high molecular mass alcohol of natural origin. It is produced in the form of soft wax of white colour.
ROKAnol® T10 has excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties. The hydrophilic-lyophilic balance (HLB) value of the product is 13, which places it in the group of hydrophilic emulsifiers. The product is well soluble in water. In order to speed up the dissolution of the product in water, the use of hot water is recommended.
This surfactant has a wide range of applications, mainly as an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier. The product can be used in both cosmetic emulsions and industrial applications, including soluble oils, textile finishes, anti-foaming emulsions or hydraulic fluids. The product has the ability to emulsify mineral oils and petroleum spirit, kerosene, xylene, vegetable and animal fats. The product has the ability to disperse pigments and dyes, which is used in the production of pigment pastes.
The product is usually used together with emulsifiers with lower HLB values (e.g. ROKAnol® T6), which improves the stability of the emulsions formed. ROKAnol® T10 is resistant to hard water and electrolytes while being sensitive to changes in pH.
ROKAnol®T10 is a biodegradable product, compliant with the biodegradability criteria set out in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
