ROKAfenol N3 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the ethoxylated nonylphenols (INCI name: Nonoxynol-3). It is an oily liquid with a colour of up to 70 HU and a freezing point of approximately 0°C. The cloud point of this product for the butyl glycol/water solution is in the range of 25-30°C and the active substance content is approximately 100%. It is sparingly soluble in water and forms emulsions.
ROKAfenol N3 has properties that enhance the cleaning and degreasing effect of the detergent and solvent emulsion compositions. As it is a low foaming agent, it has a stabilizing effect on emulsion and foam. It has excellent washing properties and the ability to dispense oils and organic solvents. It can be used in a mixture with other non-ionic auxiliaries and together with the anion and cationic agents in any ratios.
ROKAfenol N3 is resistant to elevated temperature and high electrolyte concentration. It can be used in difficult conditions, e.g. when washing wool and boiling cotton. It is also a component of ingot and matrix lubricants for the metal industry. The ability to prevent the precipitation of calcium salts makes ROKAfenol N3 an excellent detergent and emulsifier for textile, leather and pulp and paper industries.
ROKAfenol N3 is particularly suitable as a cleaning, stain removing and degreasing agent in the pulp and paper industry, mainly for the removal of ink in the processing of secondary raw materials. It is an excellent emulsifier for mineral oils, silicones, corn oil, diesel oils, glycols, butyl acetate, carbon tetrachloride, isopropanol, toluene and other solvents. It is used for the production of low-foaming, cleaning and degreasing W / O type emulsions, among others with kerosene and aliphatic hydrocarbons for the metal industry.
Regulations of the European Union - REGULATION (EC) No. 1907/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 18 December 2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) - prohibit the placing on the market of the product in the European Union countries after 01/04/2021.
