ROKAnol GA5 belongs to nonionic surfactants of the type of ethoxylated fatty alcohols. The product co-creates a group of surfactants based on C10 Guerbet alcohol. It has the form of a liquid with a tendency to separation. The solidification point of the product is about 10°C.
At 50°C, the product takes on a bright colour, a maximum 50 on the Hazen scale. The commercial product contains more than 99% of the active substance. Its cloud point is determined for 16.7% ROKAnol GA5 solution in 25% BDG solution and located within 54÷57°C. ROKAnol GA5 creates cloudy solutions in water, while it dissolves well in organic solvents such as methanol or acetone. It can be part of mixtures with nonionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.
ROKAnol GA5 has very good wetting properties (the lower the degree of ROKAnol GA ethoxylation, the better the wetting properties), which can be crucial for a wide range of applications, ranging from hard surface cleaning to textile processing. In addition, ROKAnol GA5 generates very low foams, which can be useful in the case of compositions where antifoams are required.
In dynamic tests imitating the effect of a degreasing bath, the product achieves very good results, thanks to which it can be successfully recommended as an ingredient in industrial cleaning agents or degreasing preparations, especially smooth surfaces (metal, glass, etc.).
The product's properties are used in textile aids (wet processing agents, dyeing), degreasing agents in detergents for domestic and professional use as well as in degreasing agents for metal surfaces.
ROKAnol GA5 is a biodegradable product in the natural environment and meets the criteria of the directive on detergents.
