The use of products with waterproofing features allows for the limitation of the risk of endangering the building or other objects and elements of infrastructure by destructive damp or steam the presence of which can be related to, e. g. the presence of ground water. Waterproofing insulations also protect buildings and installations against direct water activity. They can be used outside the building, but also inside rooms, which due to their functions are prone to, for instance, presence of a high level of damp.
