The dynamic development of the surfactant industry is possible by the manufacturers’ focus on designing and developing innovative products used both in the production of consumer goods and in the technological processes.
Basic surfactants are surfactants that can reduce the surface tension of a solution.
After dispersing these substances in water, they are adsorbed interfacially, changing the phase-to-phase voltage. Thanks to this ability, surfactants perform foam-forming, cleaning, moisturising, emulsifying as well as detergent functions. Depending on their structure and the resulting properties, they can be used in various industries and for different applications.
Anionic surfactants have washing and cleaning properties; cationic surfactants have mainly antistatic properties; amphoteric surfactants have emulsifying and wetting properties, and non-ionic surfactants have dispersing, wetting and emulsifying properties.
Due to their wide range of functions and properties, surfactants are used in pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, electronic, mining, food, textile and paper industries.
