Emollients are important ingredients of various products, especially important in those that come in direct contact with human skin. They are most commonly found as ingredients of cosmetics, as well as of certain detergents.
As formulation ingredients, emollients are hydrophobic substances. They are characterised by softening, oiling and smoothing properties. When added to skin care products, they protect the skin against undesired effects, such as overdrying or allergic reactions. They are particularly popular in the personal care industry, so a dedicated line of ready-made cosmetic products called emollients was created. They are intended especially for people with sensitive skin and for children.
Among the emollients available from the PCC Group there are, for example, various surfactants and palm kernel oil derivatives from dedicated cultures. These are certified and attested high-quality products.
