Raw materials and semi-finished chemicals are basic chemical compounds involved in various processes and reactions in which they are the main regents used for manufacturing finished products.
They are unprocessed or partially processed substances used in the industry to produce materials for various sectors. Industries which use raw materials and semi-finished products include: agrochemical, detergent, paints and adhesives, varnish, cellulose, construction, energy, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, mining, textile and plastics industries.
Raw materials and semi-finished chemicals can be obtained by synthesis or derived from the environment for further processing or conducting reactions they are required for. One of the most important parameters of these substances is their quality, i.e. standardised properties and purity levels. Parameters of the final product, which is delivered to the customer, depend on it.
